Driver Error or High Winds? Boom Lift Falls off Trailer! I was at LAX doing some airport lifts when this emergency call came in, so I had to rush over solo to help out. In my rush, I forgot my DJI mic system and the iPhone sucks with wind, so apologies for the ugly sound on this one. I used some wind filters and voice isolation tools but those only work so well. Really regret forgetting that, but you can always watch with volume down lol.

As to the rollover, this transport company had an accident and dispatched me to assist. Surprisingly, these types of accidents are very easy to happen. These machines weigh tons, have an awkward center of gravity and are very wide. I do these frequently, so I already knew my game plan from the moment I showed up. I rigged with all 4 lines on purpose for an easy controlled upright, and also to protect the track that runs along the back of the boom.

I included a freeze frame to show you how I did that; easy trick but saves the unit in the long run. Remember, you never want to add more damage than when you showed up. Sometimes it's impossible, but the goal is always 100%. A mechanic wasn't able to come, so instead of leaving it I lifted the unit all the way up and swung it so the trailer can get close to me, then I set it back down.

After they chained it up and it was safe, I put my truck away and wished everyone good luck. Pretty simple job at first glance, but the advanced way I did it in the small entrance lance definitely was a challenge. Hope you all enjoyed despite the ugly sound!
