After dreaming of building our own workshop from scratch for years, the time has finally come! We hit a road block with the zoning department denying our permit, but things are looking up now with a new location approved. Last week we were able to finish clearing the area for the new pole barn workshop and this week we wanted to answer many of the questions you all have asked in the comments. This new barn will be a pole barn construction, similar to a post frame, but uses metal trusses engineered for our high wind prone area. Now the wait begins for the disturbed ground to settle back in before we officially start construction. With a baby on the way, time is of the essence though. Our hope is to start building in 6 weeks.
