For me, it's more easy to draw if your drawing paper is almost leaning in a vertical position, it is always parallel to your eyesight while you are seating! This is why I simply made my wooden drawing table from used materials hanging from my backyard while on quarantine period. Size depends on your need, mine i did 18x14 inches.
