Don’t eat gluten if…..

❌For those suffering from celiac disease or gluten intolerance, gluten can be harmful and should be avoided.

✅But for those who don’t, going glutenfree has no benefits, and may even have downsides.

Gluten is such a huge component of the Western diet that cutting it out without proper compensation may lead to certain deficiencies. Many glutencontaining foods like whole grains are filled with nutrients that are very important for good health, such as fiber.

❤Consuming gluten has been associated with a lower risk of coronary heart disease and diabetes. (Likely because there is gluten in a lot of whole grains, which are associated with fewer diseases and healthier lifestyles!)

Glutenfree foods also contain higher levels of lipids, trans fat, and salt than their glutencontaining counterparts.

➡So unless you are intolerant to gluten, there’s absolutely no need to cut it out!
