The dog is back and the poor guy is getting teased again, this time about his superhero, King the Malinois Military Working Dog. King is the main character in the story, "King's Kong," a short technothriller about how this incredibly tough, brave, and smart military working dog (a fivezerokiloniner), his equally tough and brave handler, Air Force Sergeant Bill Knight, and a Green Beret / Delta Force team are inserted into wartorn Shanghai in the near future to capture or kill a renegade Chinese general bent on finishing his destruction of Shanghai and taking over China. I created the art for the cover, did a YouTube video about that with action music, and created humor patches ("Squirrel 2 O'clock... Engaging" and others on our Facebook page,   / kingskong512583625619416  .

I will be donating 20% of my net profits to various vetrelated and animal rescue nonprofits (Stiggys Dogs, Michigan Paralyzed Veterans of America, and Foundation of American Veterans to name a few). Here's an excerpt from “King’s Kong,” actually the last topic of discussion in this video, the ambush at the White House in Shanghai:

Conley and Kohler are surveying the White House from a quarter mile away. They both say, “Ambush” at the same time.

Suddenly two of Yi’s helicopters turn a side street corner and are now on Hongqiao Road about 50 feet off of the ground.

Helo 1 races around to the back of the White House, shooting rockets into the second story, while Helo 2 hovers seeming not to notice Conley’s “invisible” men. It begins to fire its minigun at both stories in front at almost pointblank range.

Sgt. Jasper brings his Switchblade drone back down the street to fly into Helo 1. It detonates at the base of the rotors causing its cataclysmic disintegration.

The crew of Helo 2 sees their comrades’ destruction and now begins to swing around for a shot at Conley and his men.

Sgt. Luke begins to shoot at the helicopter with his M240 machine gun mounted to his bike’s handlebars, but his fire is ineffective because the weapon’s mount wasn’t designed to be antiaircraft. Helo 2 is now pointed directly at them.

Before anyone can say, “I ain’t dying in Shanghai,” the Green Berets and Deltas dump their bikes and run for cover from the helo.

Knight’s subconscious tells him his dog should be sprinting ahead of everyone by now, and turns his head to see why he isn’t.

The dog is running in the other direction! For the second time in less than half an hour, he’s taking a violent, lifeending gamble that could put him in that big kennel in the sky.

Knight lets out a horrified yell, “KING!” as Conley runs into him in his own mad scramble for safety. Conley pushes Knight away from a game of rockpaperhelicopter gunship..

Rounds are striking just a few feet from King as he runs for the bikes… one bike in particular…
