the danger of fire is real. in the dry summer, even a light wind can expand a fire at a rapid rate. look at the fire in the panhandle of texas. years ago, a family i am friends with lost horses to a fire. the only option was to shoot them due to the horrid burns on them. cattle were lost as well but people seem to love horses more than cattle, and dogs more than people.

i'm okay with that last one.
