Differin® (adapalene) is an overthecounter topical retinoid used for the treatment of acne. It may also be used for the purpose of socalled "antiaging," as it helps to minimize and delay the premature visible signs of aging (uneven skin tone & texture, dullness, sagging skin, fine lines & wrinkles).

It is a suitable, if not ideal, treatment option for those who either don't have access to a prescribing physician (a requirement for obtaining tretinoin), as well as for those who find tretinoin to be intolerable due to its extremely harsh side effects.
