Recently Nintendo reopened Splatoon 1 servers for online play once again, and since I still have my Wii U I decided to try out Splatoon 1 in 2023 to see how it holds up compared to Splatoon 3. With many specials such as the Inkstrike and Killer Wail being overpowered, to encountering hackers in a couple online matches, does the Splatoon gameplay on the Wii U hold up compared to future titles?
