Do Credit Hours Reflect Time Spent on a Class in and outside of the Classroom?: Double the time!

Credit hours can mean nothing if we don't know what they represent. And, even if we do, they may or may not be accurate to the time we actually spend on a class. A good rule of thumb is to double a class' credit hour to get a better idea of how much time you will spend on each class but keep in mind, this is not a sure science! Did your credit hours truly reflect the amount of time you spent on a class?

Kallie Moore attended Kansas City Kansas Community College (1 year) and Emporia State University (B.S.) where she majored in Earth Science and Minored in Paleontology. While in school, Kallie was involved in the Earth Science Club and did a summer internship and a senior thesis. Kallie’s higher education path included going from high school to community college and then transferring to a 4year institution.
