This is a pattern for an awesome vintage cap that I myself wear all the time since I made it. This is quite a quick and easy project and you can make it in under one day. The tutorial has very clear instructions on every step of the project so I believe it wouldn't be a problem if you are just a beginner.

The pattern has stitching holes marked for 5mm stitching irons.

Sizes from XXS to 6XL (53.4 cm to 63.5 cm or 21” to 25”), see the sizing table (included with the files).

The pattern comes in 4 formats: A4, US Letter, 24" wide and SVG.

What you are gonna need:
Tools:Knife or scissors, stitching irons, maul or mallet, hole punch, pair of harness needles, waxed thread.
Materials:For the top (crown) and the lining any soft leather about 1mm thick: goat skin, sheep skin or lamb skin. You can also try canvas. For the band about 23 mm, if you want the size to be a bit smaller you can use thicker leather. For the visor 34 mm stiff leather with nice flesh side (or you can also burnish the flesh side if it isn’t pretty enough).
Hardware:3 x rivets or Chicago screws.
