DIY Reusable Rice Heatpack (or Trivet) Tutorial

Follow
Alanda Craft

Rice Heatpack Tutorial: In this video we show you how to make a rice heating pad or you can use this as a trivet in your kitchen to place your hot saucepans or teapot on,.the choice is yours. They are made with just 2 layer cake squares (10" x 10" squares of fabric) and are so quick and easy to make .

Just fill with rice and spices or essential oils of your choice and heat in the microwave for 30 to 60 seconds or until you reach the desired level of heat. The smell is divine.

You don't need to heat in the microwave if you are using this as a trivet for your hot pans. And if you use rice, cloves and allspice as a filler, your kitchen will smell divine as the heat from the pan warms up the spice and releases the fragrance.
