Here we create a DIY pulse sensor for under $1.00!! Pulse sensor diagnostics are great to check the mechanical integrity of the engine, without stripping it down. Use in conjunction with an oscilloscope (I'm using PicoScope 2204A), we can check for valve train issues, head gasket problems and even piston ring wear!
