DIY guide - 2014 Kia Sportage 2.0 CRDI: Change the rear brake discs (rotors) and pads

Follow
The Missing Bolt

When we changed the front brakes on our Kia, we also noticed that the rear rotors and pads had very little life left in them. Several months later, the rear left brake started to grind, so we knew it was time to change them. I again went for ATE rotors and ceramic pads, since the corresponding front parts have behaved very well over the nearly 15,000 km since being replaced.

OE part codes:
Rear rotors: 584112Y300
Rear brake pads: 583022YA50 / S583022YA50
Rear rotor bolts (2x per rotor): 1220306167K
