❣DIY Crooked House Using Cardboard❣

Follow
Creative Mom

In this video tutorial I'm making a crooked house using cardboard. For this project I used pizza boxes cardboard (1 mm thick) and egg cartons. I glued everything with gel super glue and used acrylics for painting.
Luckily, for this project I got access to a laser cutting machine so I was able to cut the cardboard a lot faster. But it can be done with a sharp precision knife just as well. I included the vector patterns in the downloadable files, just in case you have access to such a machine.
After the cutting, I just glued the cardboard walls together making sure to place them correctly. This model has a lot of corners and also a chimney at the back. I added the roofs, the door and window frames and finally, the roof tiles. I shaped some random pebbles out of egg cartons. It's the perfect material for making stones and rocks given it's texture. I placed most of them on the chimney and also added a few here and there.
You can paint the house in any colors you like. I started with the base colors: brown for the roof, ocher for the wooden details and windows, white for the walls. I added soft shades to the walls and some red and orange nuances to the roof.
