Note: Older hand control brackets have a straight slot and use two spacers (6558680) and one guide (6558436). New brackets have a keyhole slot and use two guides (6558436). Check the slot before ordering.

Replacing the control bushings on a Bobcat 743 skid steer loader involves the following steps:

Follow along with these steps:
1⃣ Gather tools and materials: You will need a few basic tools to complete this task, including a jack, jack stands, a hammer, a punch, a pair of pliers, a torque wrench, and a set of sockets. You will also need a new set of control bushings.

2⃣ Raise the skid steer: First, use the jack to lift the skid steer off the ground until the wheels are clear. Place the jack stands under the skid steer to support it while you work.

3⃣ Remove the control levers: Next, remove the control levers by removing the bolts that hold them in place. You may need to use the pliers to help remove any stuck bolts.

4⃣ Remove the control bushings: Once the control levers are removed, you will be able to access the control bushings. Use the sockets to remove the bolts that hold the bushings in place, and then carefully remove the old bushings.

5⃣ Install the new bushings: Once the old bushings are removed, you can install the new ones in their place. Make sure to torque the bolts to the correct specification using the torque wrench.

6⃣ Reassemble the control levers: Once the new bushings are in place, you can reassemble the control levers by reversing the steps you took to remove them. Be sure to tighten the bolts to the correct specification.

7⃣ Install the steering wheel: Finally, you can install the steering wheel by reversing the steps you took to remove it. Make sure the steering wheel is properly aligned and tightened to the correct specification.
