For the past two years, I have been on a quest to build my own observatory. This quest was complicated by the fact that I not only had to design the observatory but also needed to find land suitable for this project.

We finally found the property that would meet our needs! We have moved, and now I am beginning to move forward with the project.

While I have blogged about this effort on my website, CosgrovesComos.com, I have yet to make any video posts on it. This changes that. In another post, I will share our search for land and where we ended up. This video will address the basic design of the observatory.

I mention in this video that I was inspired by the West Texas Observatory, that I learned about in a thread on Cloudy Nights. Here is a link to that thread:

The West Texas Observatory was really very close to what I was looking for and this got me started!
