Dental implants are a standard method of replacing the missing teeth in the jaws which are fixed
surgically into the jawbone and left in place so that the implant fuses with the bone by a process
called Osseo integration. The implant acts a root of the missing tooth onto which an artificial crown is fixed so that it could hold a bridge in place. Dental implants are made up of titanium metal which allows good integration between the implant and the bone. Implants could be used either to replace a single tooth or a bridge of multiple teeth. Have a success rate of 98%. The person undergoing the implants should have good oral hygiene, healthy gums, good bone support.

Implants are a permanent prosthesis and hence feels like a natural teeth and improves the
appearance Improve speech as it allows you to speak comfortably without any risk. Very comfortable as they get integrated into the bone and fit well. Good chewing possible as implants are almost like natural teeth. Implants restore the facial looks and give a natural smile
Implants are very durable and last long for many years and also lifetime if maintained well. Dental implants are fixed and hence there is no problem of removing it every time. Very convenient. Do not depend on other teeth for support. Prevent bone height loss.
A dental bridge is a fixed prosthesis which fills the gap in between 2 or 3 teeth. A bridge involves a the two teeth adjacent to the missing space which acts as abutment tooth in
order to support the replaced false tooth called as pontic which is made up of gold, porcelain or
metal. A bridge could be supported by implants or natural teeth. Allowing chewing the food and improving speech. The smile of the patient would be restored. Replacement of tooth in the missing space would always protect the shape of your face and keep the teeth in their normal positions. Allow the forces during chewing, biting to be generally distributed to all the teeth
Usually if there is a missing space, teeth tend to drift into that, replacing with a bridge would avoid that.
