The 10Si Series Alternator by DelcoRemy was first used by GM on the Corvette Around 1969. Later came the 12Si which was an upgrade of the 10Si, many of the 10Si & 12Si components are interchangeable. The Si series ran until about 1986 then it was replaced by the CS series alternator as GM's main unit.
The 10/12Si was used extensively in many applications such as Marine, Industrial, Farm fover one and a half decades. There are millions of these alternators still in use and is the #1 alternator series used conversion of generators to alternators on farm and antique vehicles. This is a series of two videos because I was interrupted by my shop dog and didn't want to shoot it again, hope you understand. Please watch part 2 because #2 has the most important tips.
