Do you have a chest freezer or deep freezer? If not, you are missing out! One of the best thing about having a deep freezer is the ability to store large quantities of food. As great as they are, the can be a real pain to deal with. Food seems to go into hiding and its impossible to find.
In this video, I’m taking you on a tour of my deep freezer and I’m going to show you how I chose to organize it so I can get the best use out of all those foods we have in there. Our freezer is invaluable. Its one of the ways that we store food. It holds the main source of our protein that we eat and a lot of other things that we grow here on our farm. We are a big hunting family and each year we fill our freezer with wild organic game meat and farm raised pork. We have everything in there from deer, elk, wild turkey, and pigs to strawberries and vegetables from my garden. But the problem with a deep freezer is just that… its deep! So things tend to get stacked on top of each other and then the items on the bottom tend to be forgotten about and not used. So today we are going to pull everything out, organize it into different storage bins, take a little inventory and then put everything back in nice and neat.
