This nest is named N2B. It was once home to a pair of eagles, but now hosts a family of Canada Geese. N2B is located about 700 feet east of N1, the nest that Hatchery Dad and Hatchery Mom are nesting in now. N1 was the nest we just watched with Mom Goose and her goslings jumping to the ground.

Mom and Dad are on the nest and it is a windy day! Dad flies off and Mom is checking on the eggs and turns around and a gust of wind catches her and blows her off the nest! Her white petticoats can be seen completely as she flips over! She safely returns to her eggs about 10 minutes later.

For those not familiar with this nest, there are 5 eggs here. Four eggs are from Mom Goose and one egg was a female intruder goose who laid an egg while Mom was trying to evict her. Since that egg was laid later then her eggs and the fact the geese leave the nest 2448 hours after the eggs hatch, that 5th egg is not expected to hatch in time. Thank you for watching!
