Joel Richardson is a Christian author and teacher who has written several books on biblical prophecy and the end times. He is also a critic of the pretribulation rapture doctrine, which is the belief that the church will be taken to heaven before the sevenyear period of tribulation that precedes the second coming of Christ. He argues that this doctrine is not supported by the scriptures, the early church fathers, or the historical context of the book of Revelation. He believes that the church will go through the tribulation and be raptured at the end of it, when Christ returns in glory.
