A. Aty's paw pads are very hard and strong because he swims and walks in the river every day, so a walk of 4 to 5 km is no problem.
Otters that don't go outside much may damage their paw pads, so it is best to keep their walks to about 1 to 2 kilometers.
If they are dry, their paw pads will crack regardless of the walk. Moisturizing is important in winter.

Q. Does Aty swim in the river even in winter?
A. Yes, Aty swims all year round. Recently, on sunny days, he swims in the river whenever he feels like it.

A. He's doing well. He is very friendly with the staff and sometimes spoils them.
At night, both Aty and Mr.Cat sleep in my bed.

A. I'm able to walk now. But I still can't run or carry heavy things.... Rehabilitation is the only way.

Q. Aren't your feet cold?
A. Yes, it is cold. But I dare to go barefoot.
Since there are bolts in the fractured part of my foot, it gets inflamed when I walk and gets hot and painful.
I need to cool it down, so bare feet are good for that. I sleep warm at night.
