We setup and review the Darklab Click Ergo & RPG2 Disposable Grips and talk you through their features.

The Click Ergo Disposable Grips have been designed with ergonomics in mind and utilise FK Irons' Ratchet Disc click system. This system enables adjustment of needle depth up to 4 mm by just twisting the grip. Once the needle depth is set, it locks into place preventing involuntary turning, even with heavy tattoo machines.

The Click Ergo Disposable Grip profile tapers from 25 32 mm, providing optimum comfort for all hand sizes. This also allows the tattoo artist to get closer to the cartridge for ultimate precision and control, while supporting a natural drawing position. The redesigned groove pattern provides a supported index finger rest and helps relieve hand fatigue.

The Darklab RPG2 Disposable Cartridge Grips have been designed with ergonomics in mind and utilise a tested cartridge locking system that ensures needles fasten securely in place.

The RPG2 Disposable Grips are made from ergonomic, medicalgrade, antislip rubber and have a diameter measuring 28.6 mm at the widest point, providing optimum comfort for all hand sizes. This also allows the tattoo artist to get closer to the cartridge for ultimate precision and control, while supporting a natural drawing position. The redesigned groove pattern provides a supported index finger rest and helps relieve hand fatigue.

Hey all, it’s Jenny from Killer Ink here, and today we’re looking at two options for disposable grips the Darklab Click Ergo, and Darklab RPG2 grips.

Grips are the unsung heroes of tattoo supplies, and these disposable options from FK Irons are an ideal addition to your workstation.

So let’s take a look, shall we?

First up, we’ve got the Darklab Click Ergo grip. This is a disposable version of the classic Darklab Click Ergo grip, and comes with the same functions and features as its autoclavable big brother, most notably the clickgrip system.

This innovation from FK Irons allows you to adjust needle depth with just a twist of one of these grips. It’s then locked into the place you’ve set, preventing it from moving while you work, even with larger machines.

The style of this grip is designed to bring the artist’s hand closer to the cartridge, giving you greater control and precision. The medicalgrade antislip rubber body is a little bit squishy , and with a maximum diameter of 32 millimetres, it’s a comfortable fit in most hand sizes.

These grip grooves are positioned to hold your index finger while you work , which is huge for helping to prevent hand fatigue! Plus they come in a veritable rainbow of colours, so you can match your grip to your outfit.

Click Ergo disposable grips come with a 3 millimetre central bore, making them the perfect fit for cartridgecompatible machines with builtin drive bars like the FK Irons Edge X. Additionally, each grip comes with its own disposable drive bar, for use with machines such as the Halo 2 Crossover.
The same machines will all work with our next grip offering, these beautiful bright green RPG2 grips!

These disposable grips are also made from medicalgrade antislip rubber, with the same comfortable index finger rest.

Slimmer than the Click Ergo with a maximum diameter of just 28.6 millimetres, these grips don’t have the click grip system, but they are compatible with builtin drive bar machines, and come with their own drive bars too.

Both of these grip types work with universal, Cheyennetype cartridges, so you’ll have no trouble pairing your favourite cartridges to your favourite machine!

Now folks, it should go without saying, but both of these grip types come individually blister packaged and EO sterilised with their own drive bar and grommet, and need to be binned as soon as you’re done with them!

So, do you prefer the Click Ergo or RPG2 grips? And which tattoo machine will you pair yours with?
