Lorna Anderson represented California in the Miss America Pageant of 1957 and was selected third runnerup. Her talent was the accordion!
Bert Parks introduced Lorna by saying, "Ask any child what instrument he would like to play most, chances are he would say 'an accordion.' And that is Miss California's instrument, and she's going to play for you right now."
Lorna took the stage and charmed the judges, playing "Dark Eyes."
