Aufgrund einer kurzfristigen Streckensperrung konnte die eigentlich vorgesehene Rundfahrt durch den Schwarzwald über Freudenstadt nicht stattfinden. Das Ersatzprogramm von Rottweil nach Horb und zurück nach Hausach über Villingen, danach dann die Bergfahrt über Triberg hatte trotzdem seine Reize. The Epiphany trips have been a tradition of the Eisenbahnfreunde Zollernbahn for many years. In 2024, steam locomotive 52 7596 led a special train to the Black Forest on January 6. Due to a line closure at short notice, the originally planned round trip through the Black Forest via Freudenstadt could not take place. The alternative program from Rottweil to Horb and back to Hausach via Villingen, followed by the ascent via Triberg still had its charms.
