Drow are arguably the bestdesigned monstrous race in D&D. They combine so many striking elements—dark elven culture, beautiful and terrifying aesthetics, religious and political themes, intrigues and noble houses, magical abilities, and the Underdark setting. Plus they have some of the deepest and most developed lore of any creature in the game. This means that the amount of stories and conflicts that drow can drive is virtually unparalleled, and they can easily serve as the villains for entire campaigns.
