Tim Glenn has been a logger for over 15 years. He explains HIS method for cutting down trees that are leaning, or that may possibly fall in an unpredictable direction. His method reduces kickback and "barberchairing" busting and splintering. Always wear protective gear if you are doing this yourself. Tim is an expert who's technique was developed with years of practice, and his understanding of tree structure and advanced sawing approaches helps him fell trees in gravitydefying ways. Consult a treeremoval specialist if you are attempting to fell a tree that may fall unpredictably. ALSO PLEASE NOTE: Tim was down to visit me and have lunch. I asked him if he would mind grabbing my saw and putting a few difficult trees on the ground. Tim didn't have his helmet all he had was my set of gun mufflers for hearing protection. He said it would be a piece of cake to get them on the ground, and he went ahead with the felling. Believe me he uses helmets, chainsaw chaps and a bunch of other Pro level safety gear.
