First time mountain biking at Allaire state park. We took it extremely slow just checking everything out. Getting more seat time on my YT Jeffsy Core 4 and it's feeling great.
Overall, Allaire was a nice change up from the usual rocky terrain we ride in northern NJ. Without much elevation change, you would think that riding would be easy, but I still prefer the long uphill with a long downhill over just pedaling constantly all day. Also some of the sandy areas can throw you off especially when you are a bit heavier like myself.
The YT Jeffsy Core 4 is really working out well for me. I am loving the ride. Still dialing it in a bit. I am using the full suspension without any kind of rough bottoming out. If I can get myself to start going bigger, I may need to make some changes to accommodate that. The shifting still needs a bit of tweaking, but overall amazing bike.
