Earlier this month we took a trip to Flamingo Gardens in Davie, Florida and came across this enclosure of Fish Crows that could talk! The sign read they were surrendered to authorities (it is illegal to keep wild native birds), that they were imprinted on humans, and responded to certain phrases like "how are you". While there, we heard them clearly speak "Hi", "Hey", and "Boing" which was really neat given they would go between that and the more expected "CAWWW CAWW" between beats. It's quite amazing since they emit the words almost like a ventriloquist would, throwing their voice.

After, I did some searching around and found that some consider their ability to speak/imitate human words and sounds is on par with parrots which I never knew.

I have no affiliation with Flamingo Gardens other than visiting there over the years as a Florida resident.
