Having some good fun fly fishing the Crooked River near Prineville Reservoir, just about a 40 minute drive east of Bend, Oregon. After having a slow winter and catching a fish here and there it was great to get into them, and get some great shots of them. Temps were in the mid 50's, water was pretty cold. Got into a nice school of 30+ whitefish. Nymphing works fine here unless they are eating on the surface like they did for me.

Talking to a guy up there who has fished the river for decades, he says it's still not the way it used to be. Apparently there have been many low flows, and some really high flows as well, which really hurts the fish numbers.
