Crohn’s Disease Signs and Symptoms (& Why They Occur), and Complications & Deficiencies

Crohn’s disease is a chronic inflammatory bowel disease that can involve inflammation anywhere in the gastrointestinal tract (anywhere from mouth to perianal region). Due to it being a chronic inflammatory state, Crohn’s disease can lead to not only many gastrointestinal signs and symptoms and nutrient deficiencies, but also to many extraintestinal manifestations (including skin conditions). In this lesson, we discuss all of these gastrointestinal features, along with nutrient deficiencies, and extraintestinal manifestations.
