A memorable family camping trip deep in the heart of St. Croix State Forest in Minnesota, and nestled alongside a tranquil gravel road. Join us as we experience the joys and challenges of boondocking with a baby.

After settling in, we fueled up with a delicious lunch before heading to Maple Island in St. Croix State Park. The scenic Kettle River welcomed us, where I took a refreshing dip with Ellie. However, as any parent knows, the needs of our little one, Olivia, came first, and we had to adapt to her occasional crankiness.

As the sun began to set, we ate a mouthwatering dinner of chicken wraps before gathering around the crackling campfire and cherishing the tranquil ambiance of the forest.

The following morning, I took a ride deeper into the forest to the Tamarack River. Once I got back to the cabin, we all ventured to the serene Grace Lake, finding solace on the dock as we soaked in the aweinspiring lake before bidding farewell to the forest.
