Russian couple Alexandr and Mariya Dmitriev were out visiting their local petting zoo in 2016 when one particular animal caught their eye and it was love at first sight. The animal in question was Messi, named after the famous soccer player, but he was no ordinary pet. In fact, Messi is a male cougar – a wild animal!
