DIY. Learn how to convert your florescent kitchen under cabinet lighting to LED lighting. No more ballast replacements. LED Light bulbs last for years.
I created a video from beginning to end hopefully explaining and showing you the entire procedure in one sitting. Of course I would like to do a different video to clean up some mistakes but keeping it real I just went with this.

Anyone with the very most basic electrical knowledge can do this one day project. Even if your light fixture differs slightly, the concept is the same.

Just remove all ballast and cut wires as close to the ballast as possible.
From the incoming power source you should have 3 wires. (Black (Hot) white (Neutral)and green (Ground) in most cases)
One end of the light fixture will need to be connected to hot(usually black wire) the other side needs to be connected to Neutral (Normally white in color), Keep ground (Green Wire) connected. You do not need to modify this wire.
Next attach one side of the light (grouping both wires regardless of color) together and connecting them to either the White or black wire.
Do the same with the opposite side of the light fixture but this time connecting the wires to the White or black wire that you have left. If you used the white on the one side then you use the black on the other. Then your done. Very simple and easy to do.

I am no pro. I just like to do things myself. I am far from even being average but hopefully this video provides you with some courage to not be afraid to take on a project like this yourself.

Total cost per light will be about $9.00 to $10.00 (Amazon)
I ended up installing 13 lights. It cost me about $130.00 to retrofit my entire kitchen. The more lights you do the quicker you get at replacing them. Turns into a 10 minute job once you get the hang of it. Each light with some/most fixtures having double lights.
