Cats are familyoriented creatures who like to live with their kin. Within family groups, cats will sleep together, share shared eating locations, and groom one another. As a result, cats frequently fare well when adopted in pairs.

There is, however, a caveat to this assertion. According to studies, families that adopt two kittens from the same litter are considerably more likely to retain those kitties in their household than families who adopt a single kitten.
