Saw this VIC for a pretty good price three broken keys. Thought it might ... might ... make for an interesting video series. Let's see. It doesn't appear to work at the moment, so some work required. It's a US/NTSC model with 6560 VIC, serial no. P896270.
It's an original 9VAC twoprong plug model (my preferred as they're easy to power) I simply use an IEC C7 type plug ("figure 8") and put a 2.1mm socket on the other end so I can power it by a 9V (AC or DC) plugpack or bench supply. No need for a stupid dual 5VDC/9VAC power supply,
Tasks to do:
[1] Clean the case & keyboard
[2] Fix the keyboard
[3] Fix the on/off switch [done] actually, replace it
[4] Make improvements to the board 65C22, modern regulator
[5] Oh, fix the problems, if possible
