This is side 1 from the thirteenth of the series of Paxton Brass Band 10 inch LPs released during the 1960s. LPT1026 from 1968.

The Overture "Comedy" by John Ireland. This being a commissioned work for the Crystal Palace Championships in 1933, set something of a precedent, the normal practice being for an orchestral work to be transcribed for brass.
