In this video,
I install AWS CloudWatch Agent on my Ubuntu VM (virtualbox).

I setup two logging streams both in the same log group (ubuntuonprem2), from the following two log files :

one that captures APACHE access logs (after I've installed apache...thanks to the demo video
   • How to Install and Configure CloudWat...  ).
one that captures syslog logs (the default file logging location).

you'll notice that I start off with the configuration wizard, but then continue to edit the custom
config file (this is is the file that's generated with the Wizard anyway, it may make sense just to
edit the custom file. I'll provide that link here:

remember that it must be placed in the following path:
/var/awslogs/etc/awslogs.conf
follow instructions in useful installation commands for the command to restart cloudwatch logs,
once the configuration file is in place.
