There is still some debate surrounding whether or not a clicker can be used to get a finished retriever ready for AKC hunt tests and field trials. As the clicker edges its way into the hunting dog scene more and more, I imagine we will find more trainers putting that assumption to the test.

I have started using a clicker with Odin. It is the first Lab puppy I have ever tried to train with a clicker, and I have been really excited about how well it works so far. Granted, we are still only in the obedience part of his training.
