The purpose of this video is to help new purchasers of our pet pens be able to construct their pet's new PENthouse so that it's sturdy and operates as normal.

This is not a difficult process, but one that is still aided by a visual aid like this #instructional video.

For our example pen, we have a 36 inch height medium pen. This is a top seller pen, but may not be the one you have. You'll be relieved to know that there are no meaningful differences in how it's constructed versus what you see in this video. Furthermore, your pen comes shipped with instructions specific to your size.

1. Lay the box down on the floor ensuring that the Clearly Loved Pets Logo is facing up. Pull contents out horizontally. This may be easier if you start by removing the side foam protection of the box, before the contents themselves.

2. Keep all packaging until construction is complete. It's also advised to keep the protecting film over the door panel while assembly is under way. This is partly because of protection, but also because the packaging indicates the top side of the door.

3. Using the instructions shipped with the package, familiarize yourself with the different parts of the pen. You'll notice two different type of connectors, as well as two different types of tube, differentiated by both length, and the position of the grooves running lengthwise along the tubing.

4. Separate the panels from their protective films. The panels aren't delicate, but do your best to keep them from bending. Further to that point, to keep them pristine, we recommend using one of the foam packing inserts as a base off of any hardwood floor. Set these aside, stepping on these isn't the best way to treat your purchase. :)

5. For wall tubes, affix the 'T' style connectors at both ends, ensuring the grooves for the frame all line up. You should be able to twist until this is just right.

6. For corner tubes, the process is much the same, and proper alignment is helped by grooves within the 'webs' of the corner pieces.

7. Starting construction begins with the door. Lay the door flat on the ground so that the openings for connecting tubes are facing up. (Highly recommend a soft surface to perform this step on, carpet, bed, or otherwise) Slot in your wall tubes, once again ensuring that the groove for the panel lines up for easy transparent panel insertion.

8. Insert your first transparent panel. Ensure that the edge of the panel fully nests in the groove of the door frame. This will be a key step for each panel, ensuring they're snugly fitted.

9 Secure the panel with the provided panel nuts and screws. You'll notice the nuts have a square base. These will require orienting the nut properly for it to secure the panel. Do not force the nut or the screw through, it should slide easily once the panels and connectors are aligned, which might take a little bit of fine adjustment. The nuts go on the outside of the pen, screws on the inside.

9a It's recommended that you don't tool tighten the nuts/screws until the entire frame is completed

10 Stand the door assembly up, and attach a wall tube and connectors to the other side of the panel you've just installed. Secure it in place in the same fashion that you secured the acrylic pan in the last step.

11 From here, with one panel secured onto the door, you can start affixing wall tubes that extend that side. We find it's easier to slot one tube into the bottom, and then fit in the acrylic panel before adding the topmost tube. Screws and bolts will operate the same, with the bolts needing to be on the outside of the pen.

12 Once it's time to make a 90 degree turn to that the next panel sits perpendicular. use the corner connectors instead, but the rest of the process remains the same. Continue to set the horizontal tube on the bottom first, set the acrylic panel inside, bolt it in, then do the top tube next. Continue this process until you're back around to the door frame. Your printed instructions will let you know what the sequence is if it's not immediately apparent.

12a Those that have ordered the universal kits and the bump out sections will be able to creatively build a pen that doesn't necessarily have to follow instructions, can be in odd shapes, and can be quite a bit larger.

13. Remove packaging/protection from the door to make the last nuts and bolts easy to complete. Once done, enter the pen, and tight down all connections.
