In Analyzing Classical Form by William Caplin, the author explains the Precore Core structure that was the basis for countless SonataAllegro movement development sections by composers like Mozart and Beethoven.

In this video we will break down that structure and use Mozart's Clarinet Quintet in A to show how it works.
