Join us for a classic Argentine breakfast in Buenos Aires, Argentina where we try eating a plethora of medialuna (Argentine croissants) and drinking giant cups of café con leche (Argentine coffee with milk) at local restaurant Residente. Whenever we visit Buenos Aires, we tend to find a few local spots serving up great food and drinks at affordable prices. Resident cafe was exactly that and more. We also tried their lunch menu which was decent.

I ended up ordering the completo tostado which we called the greedy guts breakfast which came with toast, soda water, fresh squeezed orange juice, jam and cookies. Audrey grabbed the medialunas and cafe con leche. The cups of coffee are so big we felt like we were getting a 21 special and the quality of the coffee in Buenos Aires is second to none. Medialunas come in salty or sweet variety but we prefer the sweet one usually.

Price point for the breakfast came 350 Pesos which was $5.80 USD. What a bargain for such a feast! That actually included a second cup of coffee. We'd highly recommend this place for the intersection of great food and the right price.
