Just after 1:56 AM multiple calls poured into the city of Albany’s emergency communication center reporting a working structure fire at 15 Learned Street. As units were responding they had a heavy column of smoke in the air and a very significant glow visible in the distance. The fire was visible from the city of Troy‘s Menands bridge. Units arrived on scene immediately transmitted the signal 30 and requested additional units to the scene. Firefighters established a water supply in multiple sections of the city in that area and conducted an exterior attack. Later that morning firefighters had an excavator come in and open up the walls to gain access to the significant amount of files inside of the building that had been on fire. The fire is under investigation at this time.
