고양이들과의 겨울방학 이야기를 시청해주셔서 감사합니다. 영국에서 한국까지 8,852km. 약 13시간 거리에 떨어져있지만 제가 보고싶고 그리울 때 언제든 꺼내 볼 수 있는 추억이 두편의 영상으로 만들어졌다는 것에 의의를 둡니다. 이미 한달이나 행복하게 지내고 난 후에 꺼내는 이야기지만 겨울의 눈 덮힌 사찰은 정말 예뻐요. 문득 눈 덮힌 산에 노을이 지는 모습을 저 혼자 보고 있다는 사실을 깨달을 땐 조금 죄송한 마음이 들 정도로요. 제가 방학을 맞아 신안사에 머무는 동안에는 온전히 저 혼자입니다. 절 식구 분들이 제가 방문하는 김에 몇달만에 휴가를 보내시고, 여러 행사때문에 절을 비우는 일들도 있어서 템플스테이 예약을 받지 않는거라고는 하시지만 그저 몸도 마음도 편하게 지내다 가라는 배려임을 잘 압니다. 그래서 어쩌면 저의 편안함때문에 흔치않은 사찰의 겨울 풍경을 보고 싶어도 보지 못하신 분들이 계시진 않을까 하는 걱정이 떠나지 않았습니다. 그래서인지 한달동안 절에 있으면서 하루도 빠짐없이 제 주변 분들께 감사함을 참 많이 느꼈는데요, 그 중에는 지금 이 영상을 보고 계시는 구독자분들도 계시다는 걸 새삼스럽지만 꼭 말씀드리고 싶었습니다. 제가 영국에 있으나 한국에 있으나 직장을 다니나 학교를 다니나 변함없이 응원해주시는 많은 분들께 진심으로 감사드립니다. 돌아보면 결국 여러분들 덕분에 다양한 경험들을 했고 그 속에서 저에게 아주 특별하고 소중한 인연들도 생겨났네요. 이렇게나 행복하고 따뜻한 겨울방학을 고양이들과 보내게 될 줄은 1년전 오늘의 저는 상상도 못했을거예요. 올 한 해도 저에게 주신 따뜻함을 나눌 수 있도록 노력하겠습니다. 많이 늦었지만 여러분 2024년도 행복하세요.

Thank you for tuning into my winter break with the cats videos. It's pretty wild how we're 8,852 kilometers apart, yet these videos bridge that gap, holding memories I treasure deeply. Seeing the temple blanketed in snow was something else—truly a sight to behold. There were moments, standing alone watching the sunset over the snowdraped mountains, when I felt so connected to you all. My time at the temple was my solo journey. As the temple family understands and respects my need for a peaceful retreat by not accepting temple stay reservations during my holiday visits which I am profoundly grateful for. I did worry, though, that my little oasis of peace might, inadvertently, keep some of you from experiencing this magical winter scenery firsthand. Throughout my time at the temple, I'm filled with gratitude, especially towards you watching this right now. Your support means everything, whether I'm in England or Korea, hustling or hitting the books. You've opened up a world of unique experiences and connections for me. A year ago, I couldn't have pictured such an unforgettable winter break with these furry companions. I'm pumped to keep sharing the warmth and joy you've brought into my life into the new year.
