After school, Chip practices her magic rope trick on Nico. She’s disappointed when it goes wrong but feels confident she’ll perfect the trick in time for tonight’s performance for the pugs. Grandma arrives to collect Chip with a surprise guest: Gordie’s granddaughter, Glenda. It seems Glenda is ahead of Chip in everything. She even has the same magic box as Chip and can do all the tricks! When Chip’s rope trick goes wrong again, she decides not to perform it after dinner and Glenda does a trick in her place. Glenda uses Chip’s snuggly Potato for the trick, but Potato doesn’t reappear as Glenda expects! Chip is relieved when she eventually spots Potato and reappears her snuggly to everyone; they’re impressed! Confidence boosted, Chip decides to perform her rope trick after all, and with a pointer from Potato’s tail, Chip gets it right. As Chip waves Glenda goodbye, she discovers her new pup pal hasn’t ridden in Gordie’s sidecar before. Glenda hasn’t done everything first after all!
