UPDATE!!: After several months living out of the van, I am proud to say I can sleep on top of this toilet after it has been used and NOT smell anything...the secret is cat litter. Do your business on top of a pile of it, shake it up so it has a chance to get covered then test it for yourself. I gave it 24hours to sit in there and see if I smelled an odor. I didn't. The urine container works great and is easy to empty. Zero spills so far!
I do not want to / plan to use my toilet in the van very much. I already keep a bottle for peeing all the time (me and Alex Honnold). So, I went ultra simple for this cheap dry composting toilet.
