Guavas are fruiting at the moment and with not the best weather in the world for native flowering, guavas have become a go to for our flyingfoxes.
As those of you who view my page know, we should never use any netting that you can poke a finger through but unfortunately, that message isn't always clear to the general public.
Poor Charlie was trapped in horrible slice and dice netting but as luck would have it, he was discovered the same evening and we were able to go and rescue him.
Now in care, Charlie will be with us for the next couple of weeks to monitor the damage inflicted by the dangerous netting before he is released back to the wild.
Thank you to the homeowner for calling and for allowing us to remove and destroy the netting.
