Their primary objective for HELLDIVERS 2 was to meticulously design an introductory #cinematic experience that drew inspiration from the iconic style of American military recruitment commercials with a charismatic spokesperson that weaved seamless humor and motivational vigor into the narrative without tipping into excessive exaggeration.

Leveraging the power of #UnrealEngine became an integral part of our preproduction process and workflow, giving us a sophisticated and visually immersive environment. Its robust features allowed us to establish tangible layouts while working with storyboards. The realtime rendering capabilities seamlessly brought scenes to life during the motion capture shoot at the Goodbye Kansas Headquarters in Stockholm, leaving room for creative optimization.

HELLDIVERS 2 was released on PlayStation 5 and Windows on February 8th, 2024, and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment.
