VIDEO SCRIPT:

Hello and welcome to cat’s love, and today I’ll be kickstarting my new series where I cover every single popular cat breed, so for now as it’s 2022 TICA also known as the international cat association only recognizes 73 cat breeds, but I’ll be doing more cat breeds which makes 88 cat breeds. The cat breeds that aren’t recognized by TICA I’m still cover, which also means if there is a new cat breed, I’ll cover it! So anyway let’s get right into the most loving and affectionate cat of them all. The Abyssinian!

WHAT GOOGLE SAYS:

So before you ask yourself “can’t I just Google what an Abyssinian cat is and how to take care of it?”

Well ill do just that!

Googles main definition of the Abyssinian cat says that the Abyssinian is a breed of domestic shorthaired cat with a distinctive “ticked” tabby coat, in which individual hairs are handed with different colors. They are also known simply as Abys.

And I can also answer some questions people searched about the Abyssinian.

“Are They Rare?” They are pretty common in the United States

“Are They Friendly?” They are one of the friendliest cat breeds on earth!

And “how much do the cost?” It depends where your buying them from but common pet stores sell Abyssinians for around 500 to 1200 dollars, cost may differ from a breeder or a different pet store

FACTS:
The Abyssinian originated in Egypt!

Did you know? The Abyssinian, one of the oldest cat breeds, was named for cats exhibited in shows in England in the late 1800s that were thought to have come from Abyssinia, the former Ethiopia!

So yep, that’s how the Abyssinian got is name, it was went into an English language cat exhibit and rumors spread that it was from Abyssinia!

Taking Care Of An Abyssinian

To take care of an Abyssinian your going to need three things, a playful attitude, good work hours, and a few days at home.
Because the Abyssinian cat can actually get DEPRESSED if you don’t spend time, love, or play with it. So if you got some pretty hefty work shifts than your not suited for the Abyssinian. If your at home a lot and you have kids that love cats than the Abyssinian is perfect for your household. If your Abyssinian is feeling depressed than please check up with your vet, cat depression is a real thing and I’ll make an episode about it soon. They don’t appreciate you leaving home, so keep your trips short or bring your Abyssinian with you to decrease chances of loneliness and separation anxiety. They will decide if you can hold or let them so if they’re out of the ordinarily feisty or distant than that’s why. They have a low maintenance for coat, so if you brush there fur weekly then you will get a healthy shine!
