Cane Corso puppies PAT (Volhard Temperament Test)

Follow
Ivy League Cane Corso Kennel

Every day in puppy’s life, while still with breeder, is a testing. We observe them daily as they develop, watch their reactions to various situations and stimulus’s, expose them to thousands things, creating mini stresses with positive outcomes so they can learn to cope, get mentally stronger every day and have best possible start in their lives, before they go to their forever homes.
Raising litter or puppies right is a lot of work and way pass the just feeding, cleaning and letting them play with each other. By 8 weeks old breeder should have pretty solid temperament and drives profile for each puppy, which helps to perform the better match with their new families according to their lifestyle and abilities. It would be wrong to place high energy and very driven puppy with laid back family and vice versa that can lead to frustration leaving with a dog and possible abandonment of the dog. Every breeder should know how to evaluate their puppies daily and what to look for.
Volhad test is just one of the basic tests to confirm at 7 weeks old what breeder observed prior to it or have a “surprise” and perform more testing to determine the “tru” colors of the puppy.
We @ivyleaguekennelcanecorso are happy to collaborate with like minded breeders and honored to perform evaluations for them.
This time it is PrideNjoyz Cane Corso from Pennsylvania.
